The problem is not marriage itself. The problem is the system, traditions, and expectations that many societies have attached to it.

This book is not an attempt to convince you to reject marriage. It is an invitation to question the system we have inherited.

For generations, many of us have followed traditions simply because they have always existed. We call these practices "normal," but normal does not always mean just.

Marriage itself is not the problem. A relationship built on love, respect, equality, and shared responsibility can be deeply meaningful.

I didn't wake up one morning and decide to question the marriage system. This thought was built slowly, over years, through the things I saw and the questions no one around me seemed willing to ask.

I grew up in a family where certain responsibilities were never questioned. Household work belonged to women. It wasn't discussed; it was simply accepted as the natural order of life.

As I grew older, I began asking myself a simple question. Why were these expectations placed on one gender and not the other? Why was sacrifice considered a woman's duty but never recognized as work?

These questions stayed with me, but I had no answers. Then one conversation became the turning point…
